We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came from heaven, born of the virgin Mary. The four gospels are an account of His work and teaching. He died on the cross at Calvary, was buried and rose again on the first day of the week. He ascended to heaven and will come again as He promised.
Salvation is offered in the Scriptures to all who acknowledge that they are sinners and place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and on His death on the cross. To those who do so eternal life is given as a gift, and once given, is never taken away.
Every believer should be baptised by total immersion in water, not to gain salvation, but as a public declaration of the change that took place at the moment when faith was placed in the Saviour.
A local church consists of Christians who are led and guided by elders.
The local church gathers each Lord’s Day to remember the Lord as He appointed in the Breaking of Bread. (see 1 Corinthians chapter 11 verses 23-34). Other gatherings are held for prayer, for Bible teaching, for reports on the work of the Lord in other parts of the UK and abroad and for the preaching of the gospel.
